I'm a cinematographer born in Saarland in 1994, now based in Leipzig. My artistic work concentrates on feature-length documentaries, but I also love to bring this experience back into fictional films. I like the idea to shine a light on subjects, that are generally underrepresented in media and society.

Since 2013 I studied Cinematography at Filmuniversity Babelsberg „Konrad Wolf“, where I graduated in 2022 with the feature-length documentary „THE HOMES WE CARRY“, which had its Premiere at the German Competition of DOK Leipzig and was screened at Films de Femmes (Créteil), ACHTUNG BERLIN Festival and HOT DOCS (Toronto).

In 2016/17 I've been a volunteer at Goethe Institute Maputo, Mozambique. During that time I shot my first feature-lenth film "Maputo Nakuzandza", which was shown at FID Marseille 2022, won the special price of the jury at the Festival do Rio and was part of the feature film competition of FESPACO (Burkina Faso), NEW DIRECTORS / NEW FILMS (MoMa, New York) and Indie Lisboa.

With Domenik Schuster, I worked on his self-produced documentary "LIEBE, WUT & MILCHZÄHNE" about parenting and adultism. Right now, I'm working on the feature-length documentary „MY REVOLUTION“ (AT) with director Reem Karssli.

Besides, I do anything else that brings fun and/or money, as long as I don't have to sell my soul. I work as a freelance cinematographer, photographer and colorist. When opporunity hits me, I also work as a director for personal projects such as music videos.
